design

Now that you have and idea of wording options, let’s chat about design!

Many couples love to show off their beautiful engagement photos on their Save the Dates, which is fun and playful! However, it is not required. You can always add those to your wedding website - which means you don’t have to pick just one!

We think it’s fun to design a Save the Date that ties into your entire invitation suite and wedding decor. It gives guests a first little glimpse into your wedding! If your planning a destination wedding why not add elements to represent the location?

Don’t forget - This will be on your guests’ fridge for months, so make sure it is something you want them staring at every day!

bUDGET SAVING TIPS

It is okay to not spend a large portion of your stationery budget on your Save the Dates and to go all out on your invitations! To help get the biggest bang for the buck we have a few tips for you to consider:

  1. Simplicity. Keep things simple and give guests what they need in a straightforward way. Use a standard 5x7in sized Save the Date and print your addresses. This will keep mailing and addressing costs down! Save the calligraphy for the invitations!

  2. Foil and Letterpress. Many big companies have standard dies for words like “Save the Date” which tends to cut down the cost, since a custom die plate is not being created just for you!

  3. Return Address Stamp. Get a stamp made with your names and address. You can use this for your Save the Dates, Invites, Thank you Cards, etc. and even after your wedding! This can save you time + money now and later!

Hopefully you feel ready to and confident to get started on your Save the Dates! Just remember, stay true to your style as a couple - this is your day and it should be a reflection of you!

Showcasing a couple’s style is what we do! So, if you have questions about your wedding stationery feel free to reach out to us! Happy to help!
